Recap for Week 3 of 2014

- The most quiet room in the world will drive you mad.  I think the darkness part has something to do with it though.

- Snoop Dogg Lion drops it 16 bit style with his latest single "Get Away"

- Have you ever seen the film Titanic and thought "It'd be cool to do that".  Congrats, you now can.  A theme park in China will soon feature a "ride" where you can go on a replica of the Titanic.  There you can experience the opulence, the adventure, and the sinking.  Where are they gonna put the iceberg?

- Google Research made a colorful chart based on the music genres of Play Music data.  They're trying to sell said music also.  Reminds me of ice cream, is the point here.  Sorry if it came out extra cynical.

- Get your linguistics right.  I broke a few of those rules in this post already.  Whoops.

Journey to the West [Film Trailer]

It's been a while since I've heard an authoritative voiceover.  This seems silly, but I like the Journey to the West tale.  As long as Monkey, Pig, Sandy and Horse thing are in it, I'll be reasonably pleased.

Recap for Week 2 of 2014

- Polar Vortex sounds like a really cool superpower.  Or a drink.

- Polar Vortex, aka polar cyclone, the artist formally known as polar low, goes by the alias frigid twister, but prefers to be called circumpolar whirl.

- It was so cold this week that this truck froze.  Or it was made of ice, I forget which.

- I just realized I said cool when referring to the polar vortex. Ha.

- Got some paradoxes here.  I remember a lot of these in relation to philosophical questions.  Bertrand Russell and sets and barbers.

- With budget cuts and sequestration, all medical officials can do now is nuke HIV.

- A little girl wants a dragon for Christmas.  The lovely scientists try their best but Santa doesn't keep dragons in the North Pole.  Something about melting all the snow I heard.

Recap for Week 1 of 2014

- Happy New Year! Here is Today.  Remember, today is today, don't sweat it.

- Geno the dog isn't sweating this snow maze.

- Speaking of snow, hope Hercules didn't dampen anyone's New Year. Aside from having to tolerate the blizzard naming gimmick the Weather Channel is trying.

- A Chinese zoo displayed a Mastiff as a Lion.  Nobody was pleased.  But some people (me) was amused.

- Last year I half-heartedly thought up a resolution.  This year I won't even bother.  Every day is a new day, every day you can improve.  Here's to 2014.

- The Earth keeps spinning.
