Ben Foster on Heaven or Hell

"That question's like going to a restaurant that offers only two options: filet mignon or burning cow shit. I know what sounds better to me, but I think I'll eat somewhere else"

The Expendables 2 [Film Trailer]

Synopsis:

The Expendables are back and this time it's personal...

Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Lee Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) -- with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard -- are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time - six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that's nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother.

That is done the Expendables way....

This trailer is tiger blood.

Future (one last time before the new year) out.

GI Joe: Retaliation [Film Trailer]

Maybe cause I can smell what the Rock is cookin', but this looks good enough to make me want to watch the first one. Then I remember why I didn't watch the first one.  The guest appearance at the end that was suppose to make me go "Wow" actually took some points off.

Future (At least no Halo suits) out.

Louis CK: Live at the Beacon Theater

Louis CK is a funny guy. So funny he's a comedian. Don't believe me? Check out his show on FX or one of his live acts. Don't have a TV? Well I know for sure you have internet, so check his act from the Beacon Theater. He's set up a way to pay $5 to see legit comedy from the comfort of the same place you google your kinkiest ideas.
You can stream it or download it straight to your computer either in HD or standard. No DRM or stupid restrictions. You buy it and you can watch it. The way we wish digital commerce worked.
Don't be a douche and torrent this because some things should be supported.  Games you enjoy.  Music you like.  Websites that actually give you information you use regularly. Comedians offering fans an easy way to access their material.  While certain things should be "demoed", supporting things is how we show support.   Strange right? Unless you're still at that phase where you feel entitled to things due to your contributions to the world.  If so, I'm sorry I interrupted your philanthropy.

Checkit.

Future (pirates vs. ninjas) out.

The Last of Us [Game Trailer]

Naughty Dog's taking a break from Uncharted and getting on the zombie train. It seems to be the same car as I Am Legend and Walking Dead, which isn't that shabby at all. We know from Uncharted that their cinematography and direction will be mint, but let's just hope the actual gameplay doesn't falter like Uncharted 3's did. Yeah, truth hurts.

Future (That girl looks familiar, Juno where she's from?) out.

MIB 3 [Film Trailer]

It's been a while since we've seen Agent J and Agent K.  For this iteration they do more than solve threats from outer space.  While I'm iffy on the premise, it's pedigree is solid.

Future (Agent F) out.

Going Gorillas [Video]

Andy and Hamish dress up as gorillas, offering zoo vistors a glimpse of gorillas in the wild as imagined by two jokers.  It's just silly.

Lock-Out [Film Trailer]

Guy Pearce is always on point as an actor.  For this role he plays a badass in space.  I'm fairly certain he'll make this work, if this trailer is any indication.

Future (he was asian) out.

Wired’s Lab-Tested, Muppet-Vetted Formulas for Smartifying Your Life [Link]

Wired offers advice on easing common problems in life.  From doing better on tests, moving through crowds efficiently, swatting flies, rekindling relationships and walking on the moon (sort of).  Some of it is obvious but still interesting when fancy science is involved.  For instance, did you know that to work well with others it's best to be cooperative?
The theory got more support when evolutionary biologists started noticing how important cooperation is to evolution. “If I am willing to let others have a slightly bigger share of the pie, then people will want to share pies with me,” wrote Harvard researcher Martin Nowak.
For more, including yet another few reasons why exercise is important, Checkit.

Snow White & The Huntsman [Film Trailer]

From the producers of Alice in Wonderland (don't go it gets better) comes a reimagining of the original Snow White fairy tale.  From what I could see it features the lovely Snow White as a Joan of Arc character.
You know this is a fairy tale, not because it has Aeon Flux, Bella Swan and Thor, but because it presumes Mrs. Cullen will be will be the fairest of them all.

Future (have you seen her lately?) out.

The Lorax [Film Trailer]

Boys will do crazy things for girls, like risk their lives to sweep them off their feet.  Don't be turned off by the reprehensible motive, this film from the creators of Despicable Me based on a Dr. Seuss tale looks like a fun watch.

Future (women!) out.

The Raid [Film Trailer]

This movie looks crazy.  Synopsis as follows:
Deep in the heart of Jakarta's slums lies an impenetrable safe house for the world's most dangerous killers and gangsters. Until now, the rundown apartment block has been considered untouchable to even the bravest of police. Cloaked under the cover of pre-dawn darkness and silence, an elite swat team is tasked with raiding the safe house in order to take down the notorious drug lord that runs it. But when a chance encounter with a spotter blows their cover and news of their assault reaches the drug lord, the building's lights are cut and all the exits blocked. Stranded on the 6th floor with no way out, the unit must fight their way through the city's worst to survive their mission. Director Gareth Evans (Merantau) and rising martial- arts star Iko Uwais reunite in this adrenaline-fueled action film.
Future (I gotta check out Merantau) out.
