Recap for Week 13 of 2014 (Omnibus XIII 2014)

- There must be a ranking of Jerry's girlfriends on Seinfeld! Oh, there is? Ok, I'm done with my demands.

- USA! USA! USA!

- BASE jump off One World Trade.  Go to jail.  I get why there was an investigation and why there are charges (to deter copycats) but no harm, no foul.

- If they wanted a view, they should have looked at these pictures.  Although, the real thing is probably better. I zoomed in real fast to mimic BASE jumping into these places.

- Grown up problems.

- The story that inspired Up, is just as touching as Up.  Steadfast.

- You'll know if you want to see The LEGO Movie based on the title alone.  I enjoyed it, and I also enjoyed the outtakes.  Yes, there were outtakes.

- That's all for this week.  Practice patience.

Bruce Lee on Circumstance

"To hell with circumstances; I create opportunities."
-- Bruce Lee (1940 - 1973).  Actor.  Legend.  Martial Artist.  Opportunist.

Recap for Week 12 of 2014 (Omnibus XII 2014)

- Finally, a way to deciper all those emojis.  Because words are just too hard.  And attempts at sarcasm all too prevalent.

- Two ways to get your email noticed.  Have the subject be useful to the reader, or make it mysterious...

- Sports arenas might be ripping you off more than usual.  They had to involve the beer.  Now you know there's going to be trouble.

- You probably never thought much about the difference between stalactites and stalagmites.  But there's a difference.  That's why there's different names.  Hint: Stalactite with a t as in “top” since it's from above, and stalagmite with a g as in "ground" since it's from the ground.  Impress your spelunking friends!

- Maps are eurocentric.  But then again so is a lot of other things in society.  Change your perspective and discover something new.

- This is the future of house design.  Hopefully, anyway.

- Divers in Sydney rescued an endangered nurse shark.  Not without a fight from the shark though.  Still, worth it.

- That's all for this week. Learn something new.

Guardians of the Galaxy [Film Trailer]

I'm a little late to the party with this trailer, but I was busy watching this over and over again.

Recap for Week 11 of 2014 (Omnibus XI 2014)

- JCVD is at it again.  In space.

- TIME Magazine's idea issue is out.  So many ideas.  This could be our future.

 - TIME's predictions may not have the prescience of The Simpsons

- Although, Americans aren't always quick to jump aboard the latest technologyNor should we.

- In 1981 Muhammad Ali talked a man from jumping off a ledge.  Champ is here.

- Gus Kenworthy is an Olympic skiier who participated in the Sochi Olympics.  He came across a stray puppy and then found the rest of the litter and mama.  Stray dogs weren't exactly treated that well leading up to the Olympics, so these guys were definitely fighters.  Gus rescued four pups and mama (one passed before the trip) and brought them back to America. Gus Kenworthy, you're my hero.

- Kevin Bacon wants to educate the children and raise awareness of the 80's.  I forgot there was a difference between white pages and yellow pages.

- I'm not really a cat person, but this story is nice.

- Dogs will do what you want.  But only if they want to.

- That's all for this week. Be happy.

Silicon Valley [Series Trailer]

I'll give this a shot because I like IT Crowd, Mike Judge did Office Space. Wait, he also did Extract? Uhh...

Recap for Week 10 of 2014 (Omnibus X 2014)

- It was cold in NYC this week.  Thankfully not so cold that it caused Frostquakes.  Stay where you belong, water

- Ameowdeus! Play him off, keyboard cat.

- A controlled avalanche.

- Arnold Steak and Egger.  I could do without the bacon, and the 77000 extra calories.

- That's all for this week. Take care of yourselves.

Godzilla [Film Trailer]

I was hoping they actually wouldn't show Godzilla in the trailer. They were soooo close. Still, I wanna watch.

Batman: Arkham Knight [Game Trailer]

I think WB gives too much importance to the Arkham name.  Batman: Anything would work, because Batman is what sells the game.  With that little complaint, no gameplay, but some great Gotham City related CGI to tease us for Rocksteady's next offering.

Ralph Waldo Emerson on Living

Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.
-- Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882)

Recap for Week 9 of 2014 (Omnibus IX 2014)

- Wake up!

- Vitali Klitschko has dominated the boxing ring, and now hopes to bring peace to the Ukraine.  Although he's vacated the heavyweight championship, he's WBC "Champion Emeritus", meaning he can challenge for the title at any time.

- What happens when you're selling cookies in a state with legalized marijuana? Realize it's all about location, location, location.

- RIP Harold Ramis.

- They grow up so fast.

- Got Milk? The long running ad retires.  Now how are you going bring up your lactose collection?

- If you're really interested in bitcoin, here's a crash course history of it. I feel it could be the first step to a new world currency.  I have my doubts it will be the new currency though.

- While we're on the topic of the future, scientists in southern France are on their way to building a star that could be the best and cleanest source of energy on the planet.

- That's all for this week.  Learn to fly.
